Check out this poem inspired by my art!  As the World Grows SilentI try to hide
the surprise
in this feeling
that always begins
somewhere
deep inside
nature
that green embrace
always
somehow, you know
it always manages
to speak
with just the right note
of eloquence
to the beat
inside of me
those
long hot summers
a short walk away
out of sight
from the house
where I can sit
beside flowers
with book in hand
being able
to be me
awhile
waiting
for the sun
to come around
though it's said
that beautiful moments
are sometimes
not without belief
so
to be safe
back
is turned
on such light
that somehow knows
how to embrace
with gentle caress
upon skin
warmth
slowly becomes kiss
as my eyes
start to drift
to another place
where I am called
as the world
grows silent
perhaps
some sense of beauty
to me
anyway
is better felt
better dreamed
something
I can believe in
than seen
with eyes
that have
not yet learned
or even grew
accustomed
